Boat party
Hiya!
As I told you in my last post about my apartment, we’ve had a boat party last week. Around 11:30 we went to the dock to get on the boat, the plan was to go out to sea around 12:00. By boat we went all the way to islands near Guangzhou, we were actually on the mobile net of Guangzhou already when we anchored the boat. The boat was positioned about 500 meters from the closest sand beach, and on the right side at about 100 meters we had a rock beach. To the beach was quite a swim, but I will get back to that later.
Everyone who came on board the boat was supposed to bring some food or drinks. The variety of food was very big, from pizza’s to rice with meatballs to bread to small snacks. The drinks were more or less all the same… BEER! With the beer all the elements for a great day were there: Beer, sunshine, water and fun people. After like half an hour I was the first to go into the water to cool down. With four others we decided to go to the sand beach, over the rocky beach on the right side. And so we swam towards the rocky beach, where we climbed on the rocks and we made our way to the sand beach. The beach was “clean”, but you could see that there aren’t a lot of people there. On the beach was one Chinese man who just finished fishing, besides that there was only “junk” on the beach. We walked around the beach for around half an hour. A Chinese girl from the five of us studied history and she found remains of a very old teapot that probably dated back out of the Ming Dynasty (1368 to 1644). Me and Adam swam back from the beach, which was quite a long way.
Around 5 o’ clock we went back to Xiamen and took a taxi home to prepare for the night. Around midnight we went out again to a beach party. The party was close to my apartment, where we were picked up by a friend. Me and Rob had high expectations of the beach party, after the stories we heard about it… But it wasn’t that awesome as we had heard many times. All in all at the end of the day we had a lot of fun and we got burned badly.
That’s it for now. See ya
